Wraparound Care

At Cheddar First Preschool we have extended our offer to include wraparound care within the provision both before and after our core hours in order to support working parents. We can use funded hours to pay for sessions. At the moment we can not provide ad hoc/one off sessions. The staff who cover wraparound are all part of the EYFS team. To accommodate different needs and ages, children may move to a different room so that we can maintain appropriate adult support.

Early 7:45 - 8:45am

Our babies on individual routines will be catered for and children from Fledglings and Earlybirds who arrive by 8:15 will be offered a simple breakfast of cereal and toast. Children will be given milk or water to drink.

Late 3:45 - 5:45pm (Mon-Thurs) & 3:45 - 5:15pm (Fridays)

We provide a hot tea for children at 4:30 Monday to Thursday and a cold tea on Friday.

A sample Menu might include: Hoops/Beans on toast, Pasta with sauce, Vegetable rice or Sausage and Mash. Children will also be offered fruit or a yoghurt with water to drink.
