Preparing for the move to middle school
In Year 4, we follow the school policy of delivering a creative curriculum, including subjects outlined in the National Curriculum. We also visit our Forest School area regularly to develop outdoor learning.
Year 4 offers opportunities throughout the year for extra-curricular learning, including our annual three-day residential to Kilve Court, learning to play a brass instrument and participating in the Year 4 summer production.

Year 4 Brass
Because our brass lessons have ended, here are just a couple of photos to show you how the children performed in a group. We are extremely proud of how hard the children have persevered with their learning and at their resilience for some unexpected changes we have had during the past couple of terms. We hope that these lessons may have inspired some of the children to keep learning a musical instrument in the future!
Year 4 Kilve Residential
Another wonderful time was had by all during last week’s annual Kilve Residential days for Year 4. The weather was beautiful, the activities engaging and entertaining and the food was delicious as always!
A huge well done to all the children who came for being friendly, polite and working brilliantly as a team – they were a delight to look after and did us all proud.
