Cheddar First School has a democratically elected group of Councillors who represent classes from Year 1 to Year 4 and meet regularly with Mr Davies and Mr Hynam.

School Councillors are expected to be reliable, committed, patient, proud of our school and have the ability to listen carefully to the views of others as well as expressing their own.     

The Councillors are encouraged to discuss any ideas or suggestions made by their peers about ways to improve our school and/or the local community. In the past these have included raising money to support school projects, helping local charities & groups within the community and initiating ideas that help highlight global issues.
